Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound beef top sirloin steak, cut into thin strips (or stew meat)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped sweet onion
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Hot cooked egg noodles

Preparation

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook onions in 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add beef to brown. Add Salt, pepper and flour. Cook and stir until onions are tender.
  2. In the same skillet, add broth; bring to a boil. Add mushrooms, simmer 5 minutes or until thickened and mushrooms are tender.
  3. Add sour cream and Worcestershire sauce; mix in noodles.
